Em does! I was born, raised and still live in southeast London.
What can I find here?
Butter, cream, eggs, white flour and other gluten heavy ingredients. Not forgetting pounds of chocolate. This blog is my attempt at celebrating baking. I don't blog as much as I used to, but it's been with me for seven years and occasionally I like to come back and share what I've been baking.
Why did you start a baking blog?
Baking has been a daily thought process of mine since the moment my mum poured whatever cake batter it was into a large doughnut ring pan in our flat back in 1997. As I regrettably missed the chance to study culinary arts at university, I knew I needed somewhere to vent my obsession, so I went with the times and started sharing recipes online.
Where did you learn how to bake?
My mum and her two sisters, I used to watch them make hundreds of wedding cookies without a Kitchenaid.
